Remember to clean and lubricate the combs during the clipping, about every 15/20 minutes, to prevent the clipper from overheating (the contact of the burning metal can cause the horse to react violently).
Similarly, remove them frequently from the clipper head to clean them with a brush; they will cut even better.
Wipe the counter-comb to avoid placing cut hair back on the horse when you continue clipping.
