Small tips Ohlala for maintaining your riding helmet:
For your padding:
- Remove the inner padding and wash it by hand, in the machine at 30°C, or with clear lukewarm water and neutral pH soap.
- Let it air dry, do not put it in the dryer to keep all the properties of the padding intact.
- You can also use a helmet cleaner to refresh the inside of your helmet on a daily basis.
- Avoid using detergents or solvents categorically.
For the shell of your helmet:
- Equip yourself with a microfiber cloth to remove dust and avoid scratches during maintenance.
- For daily maintenance: Lightly dampen your cloth with a helmet cleaner, such as the Helmet Cleaner from the brand Choplin , Casco, the maintenance kit Kask, or finally a little water with or without neutral pH soap.
- Be careful, for shells covered with a textile material, prefer to use a soft brush to dust it without damaging it.
- Avoid using detergents or solvents categorically.
